Produced with partner Bryan Reilly at Birmingham's RMS Studio, MIDWESTERN represents, in Francke's words, "my best work over the last 20 years. I hope people hear the music's accessibility and emotional variety in the songwriting." MIDWESTERN is a true collection of renowned Detroit rocker Francke's finest songs. In addition to sweeping Heartland Rock and dashes of funky blue-eyed soul, the album features Francke's poignant collaboration with Bruce Springsteen on "Summer Soldier" and another duet with the Motor City's Mitch Ryder on "Upon Seeing Simone." in addition to 16 of Francke's greatest songs, there are also two new and unreleased songs to compliment and close out the set.
