It quickly claimed the #1 spot and started a new dance craze. In 2001 it was released again by two record labels and claimed the #1 spot on the world "FUNK" charts for 18 weeks. Today the original version is rated one of the best and most sought after funk 45's in world. Bidding on mint condition 45s of "Funky 16 Corners" starts at $1500.00 each.
