In a decade-long career that includes many highpoints: opening for David Browie at Madison Square Garden, performing with Robert Smith of the Cure at Wembley Arena in the UK and selling out the 18,000-seater Bercy in Paris, Placebo has slowly but surely become one of the world's most accomplished and dynamic rock bands. Having laid the foundation for younger musicians now mining the 'emo-glamrock' vein, Placebo has remained uniquely their own sub-genre with a ravenous dedicated fans. Placebo's cover of Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' was featured very prominently in the premier of the new season of the OC, generating 8,000 individual downloads at 'tunes in the first week entering Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks at #88.
