Take a stand ministries then and now i have been on the road with my ministry for nine years and counting. I began as a singer with a very powerful testimony, ministering in churches, rescue missions and rehab centers. I have been so very blessed as a singer and songwriter to have won 23 awards to date in the music industry. In 2001 i became licensed and ordained and god really began opening the doors into the reservations as i am a first nations person myself. I now minister on about 20 different reservations around the u.s. And canada. I speak eight native languages including my own language of cherokee. I am on the board of directors for the dineh ministers association. God also opened the doors into prisons as far east as tennessee and all the way into canada as well as the west coast in washington and oregon. I minister in at least 22 prisons in the u.s. And canada. These prisons include men's, women's and federal youths. In 2003 god blessed me again by opening doors so that i could begin to teach healing conferences for the emotional wounds that keep us from being all we can be in christ jesus. These healing conferences are very powerful and i teach throughout the u.s. And canada. In 2006 i wrote a book titled 'his morning sun', which shares my life story as well as much of what i teach in the healing conferences. In conjunction with these conferences the prisons began to bring me in to teach the inmates how they got to where they are, how to get out through jesus christ and how to stay out through jesus christ. God also began to open doors into various schools where i have been allowed to share about our savior as long as i did not teach a particular denomination. I am blessed to minister at several summer camps for kids and at risk youth.. In 2005 god called me to begin taking christmas to homeless and at risk children. It is called the 'children's christmas shoebox project'. It is similar to franklin graham's, samaratin's purse but all the shoeboxes stay here in the u.s. It is not just for first nations children, it is for all children. Every year we have doubled our goal as to the number of children blessed. In christmas 2007, god made it possible to take christmas to 8,175 children, 442 elderly and deliver over 5,000 pounds of food. All of the above accomplishments are the, 'then' portion of my ministry.. The 'now' portion of god's ministry through me includes continuing in all of the above and increasing the children's christmas shoebox project to cover 16,000 children this next year. This means i need some contruction where i live or to move. Move being the operative word so that it will encompase my longer term goal. That goal is that i am taking as much of this year off (only from traveling) as possible to work towards building a healing center for abused children.. I am still doing as much ministry as possible here in montana. I have written a grant proposal and am seeking private funding to build a ranch where we can house and heal the hearts of wounded children. I am currently searching for the piece of land on which god would have us build the center. The ranch is intended to be self sufficient and teach not only healing and the word of god but also life skills that will help these young ones be vialble citizens in the future. It is also part of the goal to be able to home school these children so that they get a better education. The end goal is to be able to hold approximately 200 children at a time. This all sounds like a great deal and in fact it is, but god is in control and i move at the speed of his light because he is the one who moves me, provides for me and protects me.
