Ruby Throat - Ventriloquist

Ruby Throat is a duo comprising KatieJane Garside (Daisy Chainsaw and Queenadreena) and Chris Whittingham. They formed in 2006 when Katie met Chris busking on the London Underground. The first song they wrote and immediately posted on a quickly erected MySpace page was called "House Of Thieves" that unveiled the sort of country-tinged folk-noir music that comprises the Ruby Throat ouevre. Ruby Throat sounds like nothing created by Katie Jane before, drawing from English folk, dark Americana and country music. Their second album is called out of a black cloud came a bird and is released on the Sleep Like Wolves label.
