The Artists Den is an entertainment company that presents emerging and established musicians in unconventional settings around the world. The Swell Season perform for this taping at the Good Shepherd Center Chapel in Seattle. The Swell Season originally refers to the 2006 album by Irish musician Glen Hansard and Czech singer and pianist Markéta Irglová. They now sometimes refer to themselves as "The Swell Season" when performing together, since their mutual rise to prominence after starring in the film Once in 2007. In February 2008 the duo won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Falling Slowly", beating songs from the films Enchanted and August Rush.
