Noah Aronson presents: The Left Side of the Page: Siddur Mishkan T'filah in Song. The inclusion of poetry into worship is not a new concept. In fact, the composition of piyyutim, or sacred poetry, dates back to Temple times. Noah's latest project serves to combine music that touches our soul with the illustrative poetry curated for the Siddur Mishkan T'filah. Whether or not you are familiar with this Siddur, this fusion of sacred poetry and sacred music serves to create new pathways into our complex liturgical tradition allowing them to resonate more deeply with the contemporary worshiper. A score and songbook will also be released in hard copy and digital download at the URJ Biennial in December 2013.
