The involving drama "Born to Be Bad" (1934) stars Loretta Young as Letty Strong, a conniving single mother whose young son is injured in an accident with wealthy dairy owner Malcolm Trevor (Cary Grant). After she is declared an unfit parent, the Trevors, unable to have a child of their own, accept custody of the boy. Marion Burns co-stars Then, French Army officer Grant and American WAC officer Ann Sheridan decide to get married in Europe after a stormy courtship, but the only way he can get into the U.S. and avoid red tape is to pose as a war bride, donning a wig and WAC uniform. Hilarious cross-dressing shenanigans ensue in Howard Hawks' screwball farce "I Was a Male War Bride" (1949). William Neff, Marion Marshall co-star. Then, the poignant and sparkling comic gem "People Will Talk" (1951) stars Cary as a physician whose belief in the curative powers of the mind seems too unorthodox to his associates, while his love for a pregnant, emotionally distressed medical student (Jeanne Crain) only brings about even more disdain. Hume Cronyn and Walter Slezak co-star; Joseph L. Mankiewicz writes and directs. Six-disc set also includes "Monkey Business" (1952), "An Affair to Remember," and "Kiss Them for Me."
