Live in Boston

Cult-favorite comedy troupe Stella was created by and stars Michael Ian Black (Run Fatboy Run, Reno 911!), Michael Showalter and David Wain (Role Models, Reno 911!). The trio has been playing to sold-out shows across the United States since 1997. Like much of modern sketch comedy, Stella employs the techniques of absurdist humor, pioneered by the Marx Brothers, Eugene Lonesco and the Goodies (who also rode a tandem, were infantile and lived together), amongst others. Based on Stella's live show success, a TV series was created for Comedy Central in 2005. This DVD features their live show from Boston in December 2008. Here you will follow Michael, Michael, and David, three infantile men who always dress in suits, live together in a New York apartment, and seemingly have no jobs.
