1999 marked an important year in history - the world awaits the consequences of the Y2K bug, war erupts in Kosovo, the Blair Which project becomes the most profitable film ever, and Rev. Jerry Falwell outs Teletubby Tinky Winky and calls him a gay role model. September 28th, 1999 also marked an important day in music history with The Get Up Kids landmark release, SOMETHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT which has gone on to inspire and influence hundreds if not thousands of bands in today's indie rock scene. Fast forward to 2009 and The Get Up Kids are back with a recently announced reunion tour in conjunction with the anticipated 10th anniversary special edition release of their seminal album. The special edition CD/DVD package includes the first ever high quality live shoot of the band performing Something to Write Home about in it's entirety from front to back.
