This exciting program of French music encompasses works by Devienne, Poulenc, Saint-Saens and Milhaud for clarinet and piano. Sabine Meyer is regarded as one of the most outstanding clarinetists of our time. After studying with Otto Hermann in Stuttgart and Hans Deinzer in Hannover, Sabine Meyer first became a member of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich and subsequently became the first female member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as solo clarinetist. Born in Odessa, Oleg Maisenberg received his first piano lessons from his mother at the age of five. In 1967 he won the second prize at the "International Schubert Competition" in Vienna, where in the same year he won the first prize in the competition "Music of the 20th Century" as well. In 1981 Oleg Maisenberg emigrated to Vienna, the city that has since become his second home.
