First time on CD for this 1964 album by Big Band leader Woody Herman (who was also a fine clarinetist, saxophonist and vocalist!) and his Swinging Herd featuring Bill Chase on trumpet. Always wanting to approach modern music and not concentrate on his past, Herman and company interpret songs that made their debut in well-known Broadway plays. Wounded Bird. 2006.
