Formed in 1961 the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir is a volunteer group of 100 to 120 singers consisting of men and women from all walks of life, from Doctors, Teachers, retired business executives and housewives. All with a shared love to sing the praises of our Almighty God. Additionally, the Chancel Choir forms the nucleus of the Coral Ridge Concert Choir which has numbered as many as 200 voices and presents at least three concerts each year. The annual Christmas Concert is "The Many Moods of Christmas" featuring not only traditional Christmas Carols, but many new and exciting arrangements and compositions from contemporary composers. The "Stars and Stripes" Patriotic Concert, where particular emphasis is placed in honoring our Armed Services. A special "Spring" Concert plus the annual presentation of Handel's Messiah, with choir and full orchestra. The beauty and wonder of this choir is it's versatility and the ability to adapt. From Sunday morning traditional hymns and anthems, to classical works such as Brahm's Requiem to contemporary works by John Rutter, and Tom Fettke, all with the sound and precision of a professional choral group. "His Truth Is Marching On" and "Carols" were professionally recorded in the 2500 seat sanctuary of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. accompanied by the 117 Rank Ruffatti Organ and selected instruments.
