Kenneth Branagh, Cynthia Nixon. In 1921, FDR was just 39 years old when he was paralyzed from the waist down. Refusing to accept his condition, he tried a wide range of therapies including hydrotherapy, which first drew him to Warm Springs. Initially a swamp surrounded by rough-shod shacks, it would become a thriving mecca for the handicapped as the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. 2005/color/120 min/NR/widescreen.
