Christine Fawson began studying trumpet at age 10 but didn't discover her love for jazz and singing in particular until she was 16. Her passion led her to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston where she was the student of Phil Wilson and Tiger Okoshi. Christine has performed at numerous jazz festivals around the world including the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival in Sydney, Australia, the International Association for Jazz Educators Convention in Long Beach, California and the Tri-C Jazz Festival in Cleveland, Ohio. She has performed with such artists as Christian McBride, Joe Lovano and Paquito D'Rivera. Since graduating from Berklee in 2002 Christine has joined the Boston based jazz vocal quartet Syncopation and is working as a freelance trumpet player and vocalist. Her most recent project is the release of her first CD, Happy Talk which features the arrangements of Phil Wilson. What People are Saying About Christine: 'Christine's vocals are as smooth as silk and full of fire... You will be captivated by Christine's presence.' Leroy Jones, Trumpeter with Harry Connick, Jr. Band 'Move over Three Tenors! Jane Monheit, Diana Krall, Christine Fawson....the three jazz singers. Christine is fantastic - on the verge of star status.' Bob Paterson, Star 98 FM, Utah 'Christine flies me like a kite in the blue sky.' Tiger Okoshi, Internationally Acclaimed Performer.
