'I've toured with these two songbirds, and I love them!' BURL IVES Marylee and Nancy Stewart began singing together as young teens in Los Angeles. They traveled from Los Angeles to New York City in 1969 to record their first demo of original songs with Electra Records. A second demo was created for A&M Records in Los Angeles in 1970. They toured America with Randy Sparks and the Back Porch Majority from 1971-1979, recording 4 albums in Los Angeles, Nashville and Linden, California. In 1985, they produced their first independent duo recording 'Goodnight, Sleep Tight.' They have recorded 2 other duo albums and dozens of solo albums. They perform duo and solo shows for audiences of young children and parents in California, Oregon and Washington and have won numerous Parents Choice Awards and 2 coveted American Library Associaton Notable Children's Recordings.
