Although Men Alive performs many genres of music, from classical to pop, the material on this CD is particularly special to us. The music of Broadway is the music of America, which has not only entertained but since it's beginnings has made statements for equality and justice, helping free our society from the shackles of bigotry and oppression. Broadway continues to do that today. So with this music we pay tribute to Broadway for all that it has done for us. The songs featured on this CD are varied and include traditional Broadway favorites such as 'On the Street Where You Live' from My Fair Lady and 'Big Spender' from Sweet Charity, to today's showstoppers such as 'My Strongest Suit' from Aida and 'Defying Gravity' from Wicked.
