COMPANEROS DE LUCHA is a documentary that tells the story of Camp Pa'l Pueblo Beaches in Isla Verde in Puerto Rico. The camp exists to stop an expansion of the Courtyard Mariott, which would limit public access to the beach and impact natural resources and life of the area. The documentary is directed by filmmaker Juan C. Davila, who from the beginning has made a film of high social content. In the documentary Davila, camping in the resistance camp to discover the lives of the environmentalists who have camped over six years in the area. Those interviewed include the documentary, the inhabitants of the camp, the environmentalist Tito Kayak, environmental lawyer Pedro Saade, attorney Rafael Hernandez Mayoral, Carmen Yulin Cross representative and artist Francisco Lopez among others.
