Amber and Betty could not be more different. Amber (Lauren Holly, Dumb and Dumber) is Little Miss Sunny Disposition, and Betty (Academy-Award winner Faye Dunaway, Network) is as curmudgeonly as they get. But this unlikely pair gets as close as two peas in a pod battling cancer at the same time. They will help each other cope with everything from illness to sorting out their messy love lives. Betty has spent her entire adult life building her defenses, only to have them systematically worn down by the neighboring nursing home philanderer, Johnny Pinkley (Emmy-Award winner Tom Skerritt, Picket Fences). Meanwhile, Amber stumbles into a romantic dilemma of her own: Jason (Ian Somehalder, Vampire Diaries) a dashing but troubled younger man, whose path has fatefully crossed hers. Amber is determined to transfer her sense of hope and wonder to Jason before it is too late. Based on the award-winning play Colored Eggs by Daniel Wright.
