The Kingston Trio - recording new songs? Fans have requested this for years, especially after hearing how Bill, Rick and I perform the repertoire, both old and new. What Bob, Nick, Dave and John created has now become ours to nurture. Here is our musical offering in the continuing evolution of this group we all love so dearly. -George Grove Great melodies, great harmonies, great lyrics - what a concept! Here we are breaking new ground with both sweet lyrical melodies and songs that will make you want to stomp your feet. The Kingston Trio's great old style, heard in a new way. -Rick Dougherty The hardest thing was deciding what to record, as we've had so many great songs sent or suggested to us over the years. We couldn't do them all but here's some of our favorites. We hope you like them. -Bill Zorn Since so many people are already asking, "What's a Blackleg Miner?" we should perhaps explain. The term comes from 1800s England, during the first industrial strike. A blackleg miner was a strikebreaker, what we now call a scab.
