August Anchor is a musical trio based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Members include: Peter Nelson (Vocals/Guitar/Keyboard) Jack Peters (Bass/Keyboard) Dan Hunt (Drums) Peter Nelson's previous experience with Seattle based Kilmer received critical acclaim among independent radio stations, magazines, and e-zines throughout the US. While together, Kilmer opened for such acts as Pedro the Lion, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bright Eyes, and Damian Jurado, just to name a few. August Anchor is a project that marks a continuation of Peter Nelson's passionate pursuit to create stirring, innovative, intelligent music that is infused with lyrics of depth and meaning. The group has completed their first album and are releasing it through process records, which is the label's first release.
