Marjorie Michelle Rose won her first fans when they heard her powerful voice on the docks of the L.A. Port. As she belted out "I Fall to Pieces" over the Harbor PA her co-workers whistled and hollered for more. One of the first women in America to be admitted to the Longshoreman's Union, Marjorie Michelle Rose carved out a place for herself in a world where the fragile and thin-skinned don't last. Rising through the ranks on the waterfront, she earned her stripes on the swing shift following full days as a single mom. Through it all, however, she never lost sight of her first love - singing, Country, Blues, Rock 'n Roll - she loved it all. A fan of Elvis early on she sang along with his records in her parent's living room in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised. Her Alabama-native born mother played piano and taught Marjorie harmony and how to read music from the pages of a church hymnal. Best of all, Marjorie Michelle was encouraged to live out and follow her heart's desire. Finally, in 2005, after years of honing her voice and style, Marjorie Michelle's dream of recording an album/CD was realized. Interestingly, while half of the CD was recorded in L.A., the other half was done in Nashville. "I wanted to get the best of both worlds," she shares with a smile. "Love Has Found Me", the CD's title, displays the raw energy and soul-force that have fueled her life's journey. It's obvious Marjorie Michelle sings from the heart and has experienced her songs. Marjorie Michelle Rose hopes "Love Has Found Me" is the ticket to take her stage to the world.
