I have been writing and playing music for most of my life. It is both my job and my passion. In April 2005, at the age of 28, I discovered that I had melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. The news sent me into an emotional and spiritual downward spiral, but it's not like I was very happy to begin with. Armed with the real possibility that my life might be ending, I began to look at the world differently. I felt as though I were a spectator, stuck between the living and the dead, but neither myself. I began to express all this despair and emotional angst through music and realized that I wanted to leave something of my life behind. Peter Plogojowitz was the first officially documented vampire in history. I used the metaphor of a vampire because it represents both the undead (my state of being)and is analogous to the way in which life sucked the happiness from me and the world I was observing. Love Finds Peter Plogojowitz is a collection of songs that came from this period in my life.
