Robin Brennan combines the bluesy vocals of Bonnie Raitt, story songs of Carole King, and the humor and pure, true tones of Cyndi Lauper. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of a Navy trumpet player, this singer-songwriter grew up with music as the constant theme in an ever-changing landscape of country wheatfields and concrete city life. Her debut CD, 'Last Diary of a Torch Singer,' gives birth to an accumulation of life experiences -- reflected in the fullness of both light and darkness. Her music explodes with earthy sexuality, playful impish teasingl, and honest soul searching.
