The Kerrville Folk Festival is special in many ways. First, it is the oldest American folk festival, dating back to Newport days in the sixties. Second it is unique among American folk festivals as it is a gathering of thousands of working songwriters who journey there to share their songs with their peers-done all night long for 18 days over campfires. This album was recorded on the main stage at the special 25th anniversary of the festival and the album is as special as the festival was.
