When the Country Gentlement arrived on the Washington, DC bluegrass scene in the alte '50s they brought with them a more urban, uptown sound to a treaditionally rural music. Sometimes hailed as the fathers of newgrass, the Gentlemen softend the hard edged music with a 'folkier' sound and successfully took the appeal of the music beyond it's country confines. This is a re-issue of JOE'S LAST TRAIN (originally released in 1997).
