San Francisco's Loquat blurs the lines of dream pop, fusing organic rock with electronic elements. Bass guitar meets bass synth, drum kit meets electronic drum pads, guitars duel with spacey synths, and a contralto voice is backed with baritone. Over the last couple years, the band's music has graced TV (One Tree Hill), won the band an award for 'Best Pop Group' (SF Weekly Music Awards), has been played on commercial and college radio around the globe, and roped in opening slots for the Cardigans and Evan Dando. After three EPs (on labels including Devil in the Woods and Dreams by Degrees), Loquat is now releasing it's first full-length album, It's Yours to Keep. Jackpine Social Club. 2005.
