James Love - Invitations

Who said there were no male jazz vocalist? Well, you haven't heard of JAMES LOVE. This guy can sing. His tone is Nate 'King' Cole smooth, but his style is clearly original. Based on his stylized approach to song, James has even been called a male Sarah Vaughn. James Love hails from St. Louis MO and has lived on the East coast (Boston) were he developed his style. James studied with students of Berkely College of Music. While on the East coast James had the opportunity to share the stage with noted artist such as Bobby McFerran, Marlena Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, Donald Harrison, Jeff 'Tane' Watts and others. James was exposed to the art of music at an early age. His first instrument was the violin. James went on to study the trumpet and eventually voice. Some of my favorite singers says James are, Nat Cole, Johnny Hartman, Sarah Vaughn and Ella. James has also pursued a career in acting and acheived a BA in Theater Arts. He also has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. It was during a sessions with a client the conversation switched to music. James knew from that point on that his passion was music. He made up his mind to pursue his passion. In less than five years he has recoreded a CD, he's booked consistenly throughout the LA area including northeren California. James CD is currently receiving air play on LA's top jazz station KKJZ 88.1FM. James Love may be new name to the world jazz scene, but he is a veteran to music. He can easily sing beside the worlds veteran jazz vocalist. James seeks a major label and distribution deal to put him on the jazz map. James is currently living in Los Angeles, but have song will travel.
