To make your first solo album at 77 is unusual; to do so and create an album as dynamic as this one is utterly unique. This is the case of Ruben Gonzalez, one of the true legends of Cuban piano music. Ruben made his 1st recordings in 1943 with Arsenio Rodriguez, but stopped making music after suffering with arthritis. Invited to come out of retirement last year, his supreme touch returned. Recorded live in a Havana studio with his favorite musicians, this album presents Great Danzon, Cha cha cha, Guaracha, Bolero and Descarga tracks.
