Oracle Shack - Into Skies Diving

This album was recorded over a four day retreat to a small ranch-style wood cabin nestled on the edge of where the plains of southern Idaho meet the vast mountain ranges of central Idaho. They left the day after the prez elections. All clocks were covered up or buried in travel bags. All phones were turned off or unplugged. The playing was inspired, honest and fun. Breakfast was mostly eggs, bacon and toast. They were in Idaho, remember. ...into skies diving... captures oracle shack in a place and a mindset in early November 2004. known for being an exciting band to experience live, to dance and get crazy to, oracle shack is captured here in a way that maintains that energy and that excitement while featuring some of the more listening-focused aspects of their music. This album effectively provides a cross section of the sonic pallette that oracle shack has to offer while maintaining a continuity that makes it all make sense together. This album is about sound, it's about biorhythm, it's about Idaho and it's about the fun to be had outside of normal routine. This is road-trip music. Also propoganda and communication skillz. Sometimes oracle shack gets asked who some of it's major influences are. That's a tough question to answer. Honestly, we feel that it's hard for us to really even know when we consider all the ways that we are stimulated on a daily basis.
