Bill Perison - Imaginings

As with the images included with this recording, (all by Bill Perison) these pieces refl ect beautiful moments of attention - attention to my feelings and thoughts about those I love - love which spins melodically into silken threads and weaves together into multifaceted tapestries of Music - Music that is sparse and simple at times, busy and complex at others - like the love we experience in every moment. Consider purchasing a physical CD package at it is turned out very beautifully and is well worth having. Bill Perison is a composer, musician, producer, author, taijiquan teacher and photographer. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music at York University (1986) he spent 10 years studying Taiji at one of Toronto's foremost martial arts schools. At various US national martial arts competitions he has won bronze and gold medals in both his presentation of the form and his skills in push-hands. Perison works with performing artists to help them expand their creative and performance abilities by integrating the body/mind/spirit freedom of Taijiquan with music. He teaches relaxation and body/mind connection practices to musicans individually, in classrooms and workshops such Dr. Doreen Rao's Choral Music Experience Institute for Choral Teacher Education.
