Hub Cap is the third album by trumpeter Freddie Hubbard and was released on the Blue Note label in 1961 as BLP 4073 and BST 84073. Freddie Hubbard arrived in New York in 1960 and set the jazz scene on it's ear with a gorgeous tone, perfect technique and great ideas. This was his third album in less than a year and it yielded several masterpieces including the title tune and a powerful reading of Randy Weston's "Cry Me Not.".
