The only Giggle record to be recorded entirely on two-inch analog tape. You can tell too. It has that big warm sound one can never get with digital equipment. Recorded at Private Island Trax in Hollywood with producer Mark V (that's a roman numeral), this album might sound spontaneous and fun-loving, and it is, but it was also a pain-in-the-ass to extract. If stylistically, it seems a departure from the first record, it's largely because Tom just went through a crisis of sorts and is in the middle of completely reframing his window to the universe. This is also why his voice is a little shakey in spots. He doesn't quite know how to do this stuff yet, only that he should be doing it. Some people like this album best. Some people hate this album most. Which people will you be?
