Signed to Capitol Records in 1989, Prates of the Mississippi scored their first hit with Hank Williams' 'Honky Tonk Blues'. Over the next few years, the Pirates scored five Top 40 singles, including their signature hit 'Feed Jake' and were named 'New Vocal Group or Duo of the Year' at the ACM's in 1990. Now after a decade off (spent writing songs for the likes of Montgomery Gentry, Alabama, Rascal Flatts, Jamie O'Neal and Clay Walker), the band is back and ready to re-launch their career. Every song has been written by group leaders Rich Alves and Bill McCorvey and the album was produced by the band and renowned producer/engineer John Kelton (Billy Ray Cyrus, Alan Jackson, Terri Clark, Faith Hill).
