Sarah Miles - Hear Me Out

'My year of writing a song a week is what inspired me to make this EP. A few of these songs started emerging as true stand-outs in my repertoire. I just had this feeling that they were really worth sharing, so I started playing them in live shows. I shared them at a New York Songwriter's Circle showcase at The Bitter End and on college campuses across the country. The response was so wonderful and gratifying, that I felt the need to get back into the recording studio again to get these tunes out into the world. I carefully hand-picked 5 great songs for this EP and got to work. I met my producer, Brian T. Murphy a few months before I starting recording the album. We were doing a lot of writing together initially and through this experience I knew right away that he was the one to produce the album. Something just clicked with Brian. I could tell that he got my sound, and I loved the way he played the piano; with such feeling. When we played together in sessions, everything sounded the way I wanted my music to be heard. Brain introduced me to some truly talented musicians that ended up playing on the album. The instrumentals sound so perfect with my melodies, I'm just thrilled. The special thing about this album is that it was fully funded by my fans. They really stepped up to the plate to help me make my goal on kickstarter, and for that I am so deeply grateful.
