Roots in jazz- Reynold's more recent listeners may not realize that he started out as a jazz guitarist. In his late teens and early twenties Reynold released several jazz guitar albums which garnered some five star reviews. At the time (1973-1981) Reynold was also recognized by the internationally distributed Guitar Player Magazine when they listed him in their jazz player poll along side such greats as Jim Hall, Joe Pass and Pat Martino. The big 'C' cancer diagnosis- On December 25, 1981 Reynold was diagnosed with cancer. After his eventual cure and recovery he embarked on a mission of self discovery and world travel that led him to test a variety of musical waters. Since 1983 he has released 15 albums that covered musical genres from Pop, World Music, Contemporary Folk to Classical. Many of Reynold's original songs showcased his self-effacing humor and led to an introspective book of poetry Travel through the Middle Ages. Now Full Circle- Reynold has truly come full circle with his return to jazz guitar on this latest CD. With all of this musical and life experience behind him, he again embraces his passion for the guitar and is playing better than ever.
