This debut succinctly epitomizes all that's special about Atlanta's favorite flower punk sons; the uncontained energy, undeniable songcraft and unrivaled showmanship are all on full display, as is a newfound sense of the world around them. Songs like "Katrina" and "Bad Kids" spare none of the Black Lips' trademark smirk and smear, but also demonstrate a purpose and perspective not always at the forefront of the band's music.
