The third album from Portland's Viva Voice is a markedly dark and sultry record, epic in scope. An underlying deftness of arrangement and composition supports their melange of fuzzed-out psych, infectious melody, and hand-clap breakdowns that sound almost like more pop-focused Sonic Youth if Kim and Thurston's main influences were Pink Floyd and Grandaddy.
