Gaia, a musical exploration of the respect and how it relates to ancient traditions, is Kitaro's newest collection of original material. The album is poised to carry on the legacy embodied in the more than two dozen albums the artist has released internationally during his career. Much of the music here was inspired by Kitaro's witnessing of the "Onbashira" festival in Japan. The title Gaia relates to our planet and loosely translates to Goddess of the Earth or Mother Earth.
