Firefly - From the Road

Here is a little introduction to each song on Firefly's new album, From the Road. 'Won't Let You Down' This song was written by Nici and Chris as an homage to Jim Shanklin and the folks at Lithia Chevrolet of Fairbanks, AK. As a sponsor and supporter of Firefy, they are proud to represent such a customer-oriented and upstanding dealership. 'Ocean Shores' was written in Homer, AK and was inspired by the Kachemak Bay and the beautiful hotel, Ocean Shores, where they were given several nights' stay to enjoy the area when they passed through on tour. 'You and Me' was written by Chris down in Oklahoma. A catchy tune, it also surprised Nici and his family to find Chris plays harmonica! 'Eyes for You', written by Nici, illustrates how the trials and tribulations of love can bring two people closer together and feel the sweetness of trust. 'Kansas City, Here I Come' (Grandma's favorite) is the bluesy chronocling of the true story where Chris, the knight in shining armor, drove 6 hours to go get Nici after a near breakup. It was all very romantic... and spawned a great song! 'I Promise You' was written in Whittier, AK, while Chris napped. A heartfelt song of love and dedication. 'I'll Be Your Way Home'. Since they met, Chris and Nici had a shared dream- to someday have a 'home'. Though life on the road is a beautiful adventure, it's special to have a haven to come back to. Over time, they realized their home was by the other's side... See? Sooo romantic! 'Stone Arch Bridge' is the tragic story of two young teenagers who jumped off theStone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, MN. 'Sing with You' live from The Fiddlehead Festival in Girdwood, AK, featuring the great Johnny Stixx and Third Wheel Project - a fun song about the joys of true friendship. 'His Memory' is a song Chris wrote about his late brother, Adam Snyder, whom this album is also dedicated to. He was a great man and is loved and missed by many. Rest in peace, Baby Brother. We will see you again soon.. 'Two Old Coots', a song honoring all the couples out there who take care of each other and love in the details. May this album bring you joy and peace!
