'Fragile Illusion' embraces a wider range of style and emotion with an insightful take on contemporary issues and a fresh viewpoint on the complexity, fragility and resilience of the human spirit. Stacy's homage to loving and letting go, 'Happy For You', kicks off the CD with her poignant lyrics and haunting vocals. Aggressive hooks and passionate styling color Donna's commentary on violence in 'Burnin' Down'. From the bluesy groove of 'Let Me Be Your Angel' to the world beat percussion of 'Fire (Touch The Sky)', these singer/songwriters have woven a multi-colored tapestry bound together by the thread of the 'Imaginary Friends' sound: uplifting, enchanting, and energizing organic pop. Tom McCauley (guitars/vocals/musical arrangement), Barrie Berg (percussion), David James (violin/mandolin), Dayna Franklin (drums) and Mike Yorky (bass) are the lineup supporting Donna (vocals/guitar) and Stacy (vocals/percussion.) A wealth of guest performers also helped bring these songs to light. A powerful collective of producers contributed to this project: Platinum Award winning producer Mark Keefner of Waymo Music, Denis Magoffin of BrokenWave Music, Mark Governor of City Sound Music, Sam Glaser of Glaser Music Works, and Gold and Platinum Award winning engineer/producer Robert Feist of RavensWork.
