Enter a very special, enchanted world. A world of story, myth and music that is as old as mankind, and as new as the first cry of a newborn calf. Lyrichord proudly presents Four Legged Tales: traditional animal stories and myths collected from all over the world and told by award-winning story teller Laura Simms, with sumptuous world music backgrounds provided by the Real Myth Ensemble. Many different animals are the subjects of stories from places as remote as Nepal and Malaysia, to those told in Eastern Europe and Native America. The origins of the tales are described and illustrated in this colorful package, and each story is accompanied by it's own authentic world music backdrop. On Four Legged Tales, her stories are accompanied by world-percussionist Randy Crafton, and multi-instrumentalist Jorge Alfano. These and other masters weave a rich, poly-cultural tapestry of traditional music on instruments native to each story's culture.
