Mono - Formica Blues

Mono is the U.K. duo of vocalist Siobhan de Mare and producer/arranger Martin Virgo (Virgo's credits include work with Massive Attack and Bjork). Their debut album presents an enticing mix of '60s pop, trip hop and cinematic ambience that should appeal to both electronica purists and fans of alt-pop bands like Portishead and Massive Attack. The 1st single, "Life in Mono," is already generating a buzz via it's inclusion in the film Great Expectations (starring Ethan Hawke and Gwyneth Paltrow).
