I researched for a studio to record in that had a top notch piano and chose the one with a 7" 4" Bosendorfer 225 Grand Piano, as it is one of the best pianos in the world. Special attention was made during the recording and mixing process to preserve the piano's clarity, power and warmth by Grammy Nominated engineer Peter Granet, reprising our creative collaboration since my Lullaby of Love Debut release that he produced as well. Recorded and mixed at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena CA and mastered with Dale S. Becker of Bernie Becker Mastering. This is a music project that followed the rules and regulations of the North American Musicians Union and I am proud of that as it retains a fellowship for musicians. Retained the top of the ZMR world charts for 6 months. The November debut was a #6, a #3 in December. In 2011 a #4 in January, a top 20 in February and March, with a #49 in April. In April (2011) I entered into a management agreement for all my music business, including performances, branding and social media. Some background to the preparation for recording: While I was composing this album it became a message that I wanted to send to the world. I have always written from my heart and have learned to trust it. I experienced my times of love and heartbreak and I used it all as my source of inspiration. I witnessed families of all races lose loved ones in war and the neglect of morals on a daily basis. In the musical piece, What will man's legacy be? I incorporated the spoken words of Nobel Peace Prize winners to describe the human condition. The spoken words of Gandhi, Buddha, Mother Theresa and Dr. Martin Luther King are featured in the middle section of this piece. Against all odds these individuals dedicated their lives to freeing the world of suffering and to say the truth about the quality of daily life. I also added a Native American Indian chanting, an Israeli female singer, singing "God and Amen" in Hebrew and Arabic, Persian hand drums, a large African drum and a military marching drummer from the USC Trojan Marching band. I hope and trust that my new release will be a powerful musical message with the addition of the humanitarian statement, one that I feel needs to be heard. Tara: I have the strings reflect that the song was written for Evan's daughter and he had commented that he wrote it with a dialogue in mind between a father and daughter. Three Time To The Right (you will find what you are looking for): The concept for me was when turning three times to the right; one is back to the starting point. I thought of this as a joyous eventuality, the process being everything. The choruses reflect that optimism in the brook-like babbling interplay of the 3 strings. Forget Me Not, Blue: This song is nostalgic and very romantic. I started and ended with a plaintive violin and built the middle around what I imagined was a Celtic-sounding waltz, harkening to old European roots.
