Ass pocket Whiskey Fellas are an acoustic nine piece gaggle of southern California hooligans, influenced by Irish traditional music, American bluegrass, Old time Country and Rock N'Roll. Consisting of vocals, guitars, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, accordion, tin whistle, harmonica and a couple of cajon players, it's a rocked up mix of fun folksy American drinkin' songs. The first track up is a song called "Ode to Jimmy Butters". It's actually a true story about a local Irish pub in San Diego called the Blarney Stone where the bigger the lie told, the more truth it holds. You wouldn't think you'd see men of this age sitting in their own reserved section of the pub each with a beer on deck, one in hand and their free hand waving in the air like deaf people screaming each other as the stories grow taller and taller, each one topping the last... In our next track you'll be transported back to a time of rogues and wenches. It's a story of a wayward adventurer named Handover. In the days when a man had to fight to drink and drink to fight, aptly named because he was always drinkin Handover Fyste! Be ready for Handover to win the fight and the girl all in one night. Speaking of drinking, our third song IPA, is about just that. Ever heard of Indian Pale Ale? You probably know it as IPA, as we do. You'll hear another fun ditty about one of our favorite beers from local brewery's here in San Diego. You must want more by now, I know I do so let it play... The last song on our debut EP, First Flask. Sharque E. Neauxe is about fishin' and drinkin! Imagine that! It's a 14 foot aluminum hull that hauls ass! You'll have to go go go as you'll hear, on our final cut from 2014! Thanks for taking a ride with San Diego's Ass Pocket Whiskey Fellas.
