Remember when music had great melodies, insightful lyrics and an honest voice that spoke to the core of us. Well then, alt-country/roots rock fans, meet Adam Austin. From the farm country of Upstate New York to the sun drenched hills of southern California and countless points between Adam's journey's have shaped his life and made for quiet a story. His music is honest because it comes from real life experiences. The root of Adam's music is his voice and an acoustic guitar, it doesn't get much more honest then that. Adam's debut EP 'Finally Found' is punctuated with some of alt-country's finest musicians. Drummer Don Heffington who has most recently toured with Lucinda Williams provided a foundation for several of Adam's songs. Phil Parlapiano, also recently off the road with Lucinda Williams as well as John Prine, played keyboards and accordion. Canadian Bill Bell offered much of the supplemental mood to the project with guitar tones that are ethereal and Matt Fitzell, rhythm section member of Los Angeles band 'Slydell' played bass to complete the project. It's that honesty that caught director Sam Raimi ear on the set of Spiderman, which Adam was a crew member, and offered to help finance the ep 'Finally Found.' Which then lead to writing some temp tracks for the studio's first look at the movie. Adam is currently recording a new CD with long time friend Chuck Alletto under the name COUNTY LINE.
