This is the second collaboration between Guitarist / Composer Paul Abler and powerhouse drummer Cindy Blackman. Cindy's muscular drumming is perfect for Abler's melodic original music, which ranges from hard driving swing to bossa nova & samba. Originally from Detroit, Now based in New York City, Abler has performed and / or recorded with James Carter, Allen Farnham, Craig Taborn, Gerald Cleaver, Ugonna Okegwo, Marcus Belgrave, Michael Cochrane, Sean Smith, John DiMartino, David McMurray, Mina Agossi,Les Paul, Joe Lee Wilson, Cameron Brown, Charles Davis, Yusef Lateef,Dwayne Burno, Ted Curson and his wife, Brazilian vocalist Yashmin Charnet-Abler.
