Tony Lauria - Epic Enchantment

'the world needs this music'...that's what I have been hearing. It's a tricky thing to describe, for all the different ears in the world. The most common method is to say it sounds like another artist, and that's certainly and option, but, this album is very unique. It does not fit into a comparison easily. In a broad sense, it could live in the genre of Yanni, George Winston, David Lanz, John Tesh, or Enya....and that *could* suffice for a general description. I'm told, however, that my music delves deeper into your heart and soul. It's something that can be used for relaxation, ambiance, meditation, or any time when you want to uplift your day with soothing sounds. Something that evolved within these songs, is the interesting use of voice that helps transform them into the extraordinary. The synchronicity and magic of life was very present in the process of creating this album. That's how the angelic voice of Kalyani came into play. I started laying in some tracks of my own vocal oohs and ahhs, but always had it in mind that the female voice would make these passages come alive. Kalyani happened to call me to do some piano on her new project, and from that collaboration, the transition to my record was a clear path. You'll hear it ...SO perfect and gorgeous is her talent (if you buy the album : o) The project has been in the making for over a year. I would sit at my piano for pleasure each day and let the elements appear. Using a little digital recorder as my note book, I would jot down a riff, or blend of chords, that gave me a feeling. Then I'd revisit the ideas daily and piece various sections together in a way that completed the mood. I'm really pleased with the outcome and hope many others are deeply touched by the sounds.
