E. L. James is a NewBop Musician. New Bop Music is not new it is just newly defined. It is music rooted in Jazz and Rhythm and Blues, influenced by Gospel and Dixieland. Although crossing categories of music is nothing new either, when you add your own ideas to what already exists without disturbing the original intent the music becomes NewBop. So, the short definition for NewBop is "To add one's own creativity to what already exists with consideration and appreciation for the original concept."
