Taking it's name from a character in the children's novel Charlie And the Chocolate Factory, Veruca Salt formed in '92 when singer/guitarist Nina Gordon and Louise Post began working together in Chicago's Wicker Park area. The band's debut album, American Thighs, boasts the Top 10 modern rock track "Seether" and has been certified gold. Produced by Bob Rock (Metallica), Eight Arms to Hold You (the working title of the Beatles film Help!) features the single/video "Volcano Girls."
